Cairo, August 30, 2023: GB Auto, the exclusive distributor of Chery in Egypt, has announced the launch of the latest edition of Chery's model, the Tiggo 8. The car has been assembled in Egypt using advanced technology and the highest level of safety and design.

The launch of the Chery Tiggo 8 in the Egyptian market comes is part of GB Auto's commitment to offering new options to Egyptian customers and implementing its strategy, which focuses on enhancing the automotive sector and providing a variety of models to different customer segments, incorporating the latest technological systems.

The car is designed to meet the needs of large families, with options available for 5-seater and 7-seater cars. It features a unique design and spacious dimensions, with a total length of 4,700 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, a height of 1,746 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,710 mm. The storage capacity of the trunk is 889-1930 liters in the 5-seater car and 193-1930 liters in the 7-seater car.

Tiggo 8 comes with a 1.5L Turbo engine with a maximum horsepower of 145/5,500 (HP/RPM) and a maximum torque of 210/1750-4,000 (NM/RPM), with a 6-Speed DCT Wet transmission. The car is equipped with an electronic power steering system, as well as front and rear suspension systems. It includes electrically folding and adjustable side mirrors, 18-inch sport wheels, a shiny chrome 3D front grille, side chrome trim, and a roof rack.

The car is equipped to appear more luxurious, with a multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seats with one-touch window opening and closing, dual-zone air conditioning with a defogger and rear window heaters, a 7-inch color digital instrument cluster, colored interior lighting (7 colors), LED headlights and taillights, LED daytime running lights, water flow-shaped front turn signals, and electrically adjustable front headlights.

The car is designed to accommodate 7 seats distributed over three rows. The first row of the car features an electrically adjustable driver's seat with heated seats, a front armrest with storage and cooling box, and a cup holder (X3). It also includes a front armrest with extensibility, a front armrest with two USB and 12V ports, along with an overhead unit that has a glasses holder, LED lighting, and storage space in the doors. The second row of the car has fold-flat seats (60:40) with an armrest and cup holder, air vents, LED lighting, a USB port, storage space in the doors, and map pockets. The third row consists of fold-flat seats (50:50) with storage space and a cup holder. The car also features a 12V outlet, storage space under the floor, hooks (X6), and a trunk curtain.

Tiggo 8 is equipped with the highest safety systems, including driver and front passenger airbags, side airbags, and side curtain airbags. It also features an electronic parking brake, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist system, electronic stability control, traction control system, emergency brake assist, tire pressure monitoring system, and hill start assist and hill descent control.

The car also prioritizes comfort and safety for both the driver and passengers. It is equipped with a rearview camera and provides the driver with a 360° view around the vehicle. It has fatigue and rear distance warning and alert systems, as well as an engine immobilizer, rear fog lights, ISOFIX child seat anchor points, ECO and SPORT driving modes, cruise control, an electric panoramic sunroof with a sunshade, tinted rear windows, automatic light sensor, and automatic front wipers.

The car is equipped with the latest entertainment systems to provide passengers with an enjoyable journey. Some of the available entertainment features include a 10.25-inch Infotainment Screen, Bluetooth® phone system, speed-sensitive speakers, a smart USB connection port, and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto programs. The car comes with a smart key, electric trunk door, remote engine and air conditioning management, keyless entry, as well as remote control for opening and closing the roof and windows.
